Posted on 17 August, 2017 at 15:35

Check out our Facebook page (Highland Dental Technologies) to see all the pics of our annual Moy Games day out. Travis was the star of the show being a gorgeous newfoundland bear! So many people wanted a selfie with him! Siobhans new puppy loved being with lots of other dogs and Harry enjoyed it all too. Shame it was so muddy but hey it is the highlands! roll on next year.

Highland Dental Show 2016

Posted on 14 September, 2016 at 7:00
We provided our stall for the Highland Dental Show, sponsored by Wrights Cottrell dental suppliers for the Highland Dental Plan and Independent Dental Care Plans. It was a busy day and we all enjoyed chatting to existing and new potential clients about our laboratory based in the Highlands. Our new Medit scanner was showcased to show how we can store digital study models for our clients and also for restorative cases. A few had a go at our molar shaped electronic buzzer game and we gave out 'denture sweeties' along with info bags. The bubbles and bites we all enjoyed at the end were very welcome! Roll on 2018 for the next show.

Highland Dental Plan (HDP) and Independent Care Plan (ICP) preferred Laboratory

Posted on 7 June, 2016 at 15:25

We are delighted to have been approached by HDP to become a preferred laboratory. We will be attending as an exhibitor the Highland Dental Show on the 9th September 2016 where we will be able to showcase our products and give more information to interested dentists. We will be offering discounts and verifiable Continuing Professional Development programmes to participating dental practices and the partnership agreement should be in place very soon. Onwards and upwards for our Highland based laboratory...

Medit Scanner

We now have a Medit Scanner which enables us to digitally scan our models and we are now milling all metals and zirconia including NHS. This greatly improves the accuracy and fit of our restorations... exciting stuff! http://meditcompany.com/identicablue/

Siobhan turns 21!

Posted on 7 June, 2016 at 14:55

the lab was invited to a surprise 21st birthday party for Siobhan at her parents house to celebrate it with everyone. We all got her a snowboard for the coming winter season as she is an avid snowboarder and Keiras' sister kindly supplied the 'dentures' cake which was fab to look at and eat!

The Scottish Dental Show 13-14 May 2016

Posted on 7 June, 2016 at 14:35

This year it was held in Glasgow and most of us managed to get to it from the lab. Steven, Emma, Keira and Siobhan drove down and had a good shin dig in Glasgow whilst meeting up with some other dental folk on the Friday night. The following day at the show we were perked up with the alcoholic slush puppies and prosecco at various stands where we also topped up our knowledge and awareness of whats happening in the world of dental technology. We were particularly interested in the intra-oral digital scanners available to the dental clinics which can speed up the delivery of a finished restoration whilst eliminating some of the inaccuracies which can occur with traditional alginate and putty impression systems.
